接枝聚合物的合成：聚丁二烯與苯乙烯、丙烯腈接枝是ABS生產工藝中的核心單元。粒徑呈雙峰分布的聚丁二烯膠乳連續(xù)送入乳液接枝反應器與苯乙烯和丙烯腈單體混合物進行接枝共聚反應。單體與聚丁二烯之比提高則接枝聚合物和SAN共聚物的分子量及接枝度增加，內部接枝率一般隨橡膠粒徑的增加和橡膠交聯(lián)密度的降低而增加。在粒徑和橡膠交聯(lián)密度恒定時接枝度和接枝密度是決定ABS產品性能的因素。

SAN共聚物的合成：苯乙烯與丙烯晴共聚物合成方法有三種：乳液法、懸浮法和本體法。本體法采用熱引發(fā)、連續(xù)聚合，產品純凈、質量較高，污染少，在SAN合成中正取代懸浮法，尤其在大型ABS生產裝置上。懸浮法采用引發(fā)劑，間歇聚合、產品不如本體法純凈，產生的廢水對環(huán)境有污染，但工藝簡單，流程短，投資少，聚合熱易撒出，對中小型裝置而言懸浮法較為經濟。乳液法流程長，技術落后，發(fā)達國家已基本淘汰。
